United Airlines

Two of your live SkillBridge postings, read against what your screen can and can’t verify.

This is your own posting text, nothing added. Two IT internships, same employer. One lists only technical requirements. The other writes “communication skills” straight into the mandatory list — and neither is something the screen can actually measure.

Role 1 — all technical

Senior Developer. The requirements are pure stack — and the job description quietly runs on communication.

You already wrote the durable layer into the requirements

Every role has a technical layer — the stack, the years, the degree. Your screen verifies it, because it’s pass/fail.

Every role also has a durable layer — communication, translation between technical and business, analytical judgment. In your Analyst posting you didn’t leave it implied: you wrote “Communication Skills” into the mandatory list, in as many words. And there’s still no line on the screen that measures it.

That’s the proof in your own hands: the difference between the two postings isn’t whether the durable layer matters — it’s only whether someone happened to type it. The screen treats both the same way, and takes it on faith either way.

In one posting the durable layer is implied; in the other you made it a written requirement. The screen can’t tell the difference — it verifies the credential and trusts the rest. Writing it down didn’t make it measurable.

That gap matters more under the 75% offer commitment SkillBridge providers carry: you named communication as mandatory and still can’t read it before you host. That second layer is what PowerTechs measures.
