PowerTechs · your SkillBridge roles, deconstructed
One of your live SkillBridge postings, read against what your screen can and can’t verify.
This is your own posting text, nothing added. Your motto is “We Hire for Heart.” The nursing role below shows exactly why that’s hard to screen for: the heart is named all over the work, and the screen only checks the license.
The role
Registered Nurse / LPN / CNA. Clinical skill is licensed and verifiable. Everything that makes the care good is not.
Every clinical role has a technical layer — the license, the medication protocols, the documentation. A screen verifies it cleanly, because a license either exists or it doesn’t.
Every clinical role also has a durable layer — the judgment to read a patient, the composure to guide a CNA mid-shift, the compassion your own values name first. A resume can claim it. Nothing on the screen demonstrates it.
A transitioning military medic almost always has the durable layer built — that’s the whole reason they’re promising. What they may lack is the civilian credential, the easy half. The screen sees only the half they’re missing, and none of the half they’ve already got.
Your motto commits you to hiring for the durable layer. The screen can only verify the technical one. The distance between those two is exactly where a military medic’s value hides — and where it’s currently invisible.
That gap matters more under the 75% offer commitment SkillBridge providers carry: you’re deciding who to host on a license alone, with no read on the heart your own values hire for. That second layer is what PowerTechs measures.
This is one of your postings. In 20 minutes I’ll walk you through the same read across your nursing roles — where the durable requirements sit, and how you’d see them in a transitioning medic before you commit a slot. No cost, no pitch attached.
