PowerTechs · your SkillBridge roles, deconstructed
Cummins
Two of your live SkillBridge postings, read against what your postings screen for.
This is your own posting text, nothing added. Two roles from the same program: one is customer-facing service, one is hands-on diesel repair. They demand different durable strengths — and the screen reads them the same way.
Role 1 — Service Representative
The first point of contact for customers. The entire role is communication, judgment, and trust.

Two layers, two different durable demands, one screen
Every role has a technical layer — the diagnostic tools, the service systems. Your screen reads it, and a military mechanic maps onto the technician role especially well.
But the two roles run on different durable strengths. The Service Rep role is almost entirely communication, customer judgment, and trust. The Technician role is precision and safety discipline. The same screen — background and willingness — reads neither.
The technician’s match is mostly technical, so the screen mostly covers it. The Service Rep’s value is almost entirely the durable layer, so the screen barely reads it — and that’s the role where a wrong host costs you a customer relationship.
Your technician role, the screen mostly covers. Your customer-facing Service Rep runs almost entirely on communication and trust — which the same screen can’t read — and that’s the role where being wrong costs a customer.
That gap matters more under the 75% offer commitment SkillBridge providers carry: you’re placing fellows into customer-facing roles on a read of background alone. That second layer is what PowerTechs measures.
See it across all your roles
This is two of your postings. In 20 minutes I’ll walk you through the same read across your service roles — where the durable requirements sit, and how you’d see them in a candidate before you commit a slot. No cost, no pitch attached.
